'02 gt, ready to start mods
hey all, i'm joe and i'm new to the american muscle world (had a prelude and i'm now done with fwd). i just bought an '02 GT and i'm ready to start some mods. everything looked stock when i bought it, but the car had a slightly better sound than a few others i had test driven, and today i found a k&n air filter when i was changing the oil (bonus!), so i'm thinking that's the reason.
my first set of mods was going to be a cold air intake along with a chip to tune it to run on premium, but is it worth getting a new intake if i already have the k&n filter? (ie the gains will be less, so is it still worth the money)
any help is much appreciated, thanks

RE: '02 gt, ready to start mods
you can keep the k&n filter. but, if it came with the car, you may consider changing it, and getting a whole new intake. Get a hyperchip tune, crank up about 30 HP give or take. You should also get an exhaust system, and a pulley kit...those mods should keep you under 2 k
