Just wanted to say hi to everyone....been on this site looking around for a long time now. Have had a 69 convert, 71 mach 1, 92 lx, 87,89, and 90 gt convert. an 01 gt. After building a new house, 2 kids later...wife finally let me get another stang after 4 long years without one! Found a sweet 68 coupe 289 "c" code car in a barn. Been sitting for almost 4 years, didnt run. Body is solid underneath, no rot.. paint is about 14-15 years old but looks great for its age, very little rust on panels, small rust bubbles on left lower door and a little on wheel well. The rest of the car cleaned up real nice! Interior is super clean. Got the car home, and had it running in 30 minutes. Had bad gas, changed filters, tank, electric pump... Big difference on this car is it had a 390 big block put in about 4 years ago, low miles, brand new c6 trans, b&m shifter, 8000 rpm tach, fuel press. gauge,trans temp gauge, ford 9"rear end, chrome mod wheels...L60-15 tires, traction bars, nice chrome under the hood...accell super coil, holley 3310 780 cfm carb, Edelbrock intake, big cam, headers, duals that dump in middle of car, new exhaust...lots more to list later. Got a great deal on the car, especially since I bought it not running. Car starts right up, rumbles, lopes really sweet!! Next task is the brakes and suspension clean up. I will post some pics soon. Glad to meet everyone!!
