How to take care of paint...
Hi, I just got a 2006GT convertible. I do not have a garage, so I plan on keeping it parked outside in my driveway. I was wondering -how can I protect the paint and the top. How should I wash it?Should I use the power-washer? Towels? How and how often should I wax it? What should I use for that? Anything in regard to keeping it in a good shape should be really appreciated... Thank you.

Hi, welcome to the forums.
Give it a coat of synthetic wax for max protection. You can top it with a pure carnauba wax for max shine.
If you have a vinyl (not cloth) invest in a soft wash brush dedicated to the top only. Use a protectant such as raggtop or Mothers' protectant. California duster is handy between washes as is Optimum no-rinse car wash. Check out the covertible and detail sections of the forums too!

Welcome to MF. I don't have a garage, either. Kepp a great coat of wax on the car, year around, you'll be AMAZED at how much that alone will protect your paint! Never use an auto car wash with brushes. I highly recommend a California Water Blade, it's a squeegee made out of medical grade silicone. After a wash, just squeegee the entire car, in seconds! With a good wax job, it just glides over the paint! You can get it at Walmart for $20.00 A good car cover is a great idea, just a pain in the a$$, if it's your daily driver!
