That is really a tough one, I had about talked myself into just waiting for the new Cobra BUT then yesterday I went to Team Ford of Marrieta and they had 5 Saleens ( 2 SC's and 3 regular) sitting there. Oh man I was in Mustang heaven.

My vote is the GT500 if you can wait that long. Since this is going to be the first Shelby Cobra since 1970, I would think it'll hold its value and maybe even will be worth a lot of $$$$ in 20 years from now.

I don't like the look of the GT500 as much as the saleen... just because the 500 looks like a 6banger with cobra emblems to me. I was hoping it would look really fierce.
however, I think you should get the 500 if you can afford it, simply because it's gonna be a rare car and it'll hold it's value more.

My vote is for the Saleen - imagine that 
The Shelby will hold value only if you keep the miles down and in showroom condition considering how many they will make. I think the Saleens will hold just as well considering they usually make less then 1000. Sure I'm biased, but I also don't think the Shelby Cobra that we've seen around here looks as good as the Saleen. And if they don't offer color options then I definitly wouldn't want it as I am not a big fan of pure red. And as for waiting - well, I'd go for the Saleen that is already out. I'm sure we'll see it, but there's always that outside chance that the Shelby won't become a reality - then watchya got??

well i went to the ford dealer today and got my deposit back for the shelby.then went to the saleen dealer and ask how long of a wait for the saleen sc he said 8-10 weeks, is this guy pullin my chain or what.

just learning how to use this.oh buy the way sweet car.good luck with her.anyway got my deposit back from the dealer for the shelby and went to the saleen dealer. he said 8-10 weeks to get a 2005 saleen sc ,is he pullin my chain are what.
