Default Quick question from a stang newbie.

Hi board, My name is Andy and I am in the market for a new car. My first choice is a WRX but it is so hard to find those, so my next choice, a 01+ Mustang GT, manuel trans. My question is, since I am 18, how much around do you think insurance would be for me under my dads name. He says if i buy the car he will cover insurance as long as it isnt super high. So, any ideas on what a GT would be for him? Thanks a lot.

Andy b.

Welcome!

To get an exact amount, your dad should do a quote with your insurance company. It depends on his driving record and what kinda coverage you want.

I'm 19, and on a 2000 v6 mustang I pay $150 a month.

Edit: Oh, and that's will full coverage as well.

if you have a clean record, no tickets or anything, call the insurance company and ask what discounts they have. i took a "steer clear" program that got 200/yr knocked off, plus the clean record, plus student discount (not a student anymore. if you don't tell, i won't tell ). i'm 23 paying 1600/yr on my 04 GT.
