Default New to Muscle as well as these forums

Hi, guys, my name is Pas. I'm from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and used to be an Honda/Nissan import fanatic, but thanks to some friends of mine, converted me to the Dark Side; I support my country therefore, I must support my country's rides! I realized that domestics are cheaper, and simple to modify as compared to tuning worth 20ks of dollars.
Currently I have a beat-up 69 fastback that my mom drove in high school that I take to local street meets and an 01 altima with a custom turbo kit as my daily driver to college.

I fell for the late gt models after '05 and wanted to sell the alty. But, I am a complete novice when it comes to American Muscle. All I know is that I want a GT and to supercharge it after too many youtube videos. Of course I will use the search button here like hell but any input from '05 and up GT owners would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time guys and gals...

Thanks guys!

Appreciate the welcomes...So, outta curiosity, what are the best simple mods to a late model GT?

I'm guessing-CAI and Exhaust. Am I really missing a huge key component here?

Also from experience in imports, stick is the way to go, yet I've noticed a lot of auto trannys on ponies here. Is it reasonable to go auto or should I stick to shift again?

I am kinda new to the tuner or mods crowd but in my opinion stick is by far the best choice.

I am completely new to muscle building. I was always into imports like evos, hondas and Zs (Damn Fast and Furious Movies) and started with my daily altima 2001. I ended up destroying the engine because I hadn't changed the oil in a long time. So I got a new engine and added a turbo kit custom by a local shop for 3.5k (Cheap yes for a cheap car). I'm sure that will blow up soon and cost me another $2300. I also occasionally take my mom's old 69 fastback and cruise around in it. We have local meets every thursday so there's a race once in a while. I started into domestics when I heard the loudest Neon SRT-4 on earth. At first I wanted the neon srt-4, but I figured that since they ended in 2005, why bother finding a car with a large mileage count in it? Plus turbo lag is SLOW..

So I looked into ponies...and superchargers...and youtube...so here I am...
