FNG in Germany
Hey all. I am in Germany and the wife just purchased a 2008 V6 in Vista Blue. It is still in Bremerhaven so we don't have it yet. Should be here in about two weeks.
Wife is was really happy with the Mustang V6 she test drove. She is a German so she prefere a manual shift but we got the last 2008 over here and it is automatic so I guess she will just have to get used to it. Since it was the last 2008 V6 they had in stock she got an awesome discount on the car.
The rear wheel drive 4.0L V6 is gonna be a a heck of a change from the 1.8 L 4 cylinder Ford Mondeo station wagon she has been driving for the last nine years.
Once she gets it I will post the obligatory photos of her standing by it.
I don't plan on doing any major performance mods but she wants me to put some racing stripes on it so I guess I will.
This will be a fun Autobahn car once the break in is complete.

Welcome to the Forums. My brother was stationed in Germany years ago and talks of shipping his ShelbyGT over there just to run it on the Autobahn. I know she'll enjoy the major upgrade and I love the color choice.

Welcome to the forums. Be careful on the autobahn. The Mustang is not a great car for that type of driving without some suspension work on it. I too would love to be back in Germany and have my pony out on the road for a day. Think about some handling up grades like springs, sway bars etc.

Thanks for the Autobahn warning. I have been here for 13 years now so I am very used to high speed driving. During the test drive the V6 we were driving quickly got up to 110 MPH and it was very smooth.
Too tell the truth I have pretty much gotten fast driving out of my system and rarely drive over 55 MPH even on the Autobahn. I had an SRT4 for a few years and drove everywhere at about 130 MPH. Now I just like to relax but like having the power to move out when I want to.
I'll probably put some sway bars on but that is about it.
