Default New 95 Stang Owner - RI

Hey All,

Well, I'm new here. I've been in the Taurus/SHO world for a while. I just had the opportunity to pick up my first 'Stang. I got this from my buddy I DJ with, he got it cheap and decided he didn't have the funds, time or place to fix it. I paid $300 for it. Saved it from hitting the crusher because thats pretty much where she was headed if I didn't want it, junk man woulda been on his way. It's high-mileaged(175k), but the motor/trans/clutch only have around 90k on them. It's powered by the 3.8l V6 coupled with a 5-speed.

From my understanding, the 3.8l Essex has a tendency to blow head gaskets, atleast in the Taurus world it did. It looks as if this car has BRAND NEW heads on it. There's not a spec of dirt on them. It's got new, dual flowmaster on it, has an exhuast leak somewhere though. She does drive really nice though. Shifts nice too.

The Good (This work was all done prior to my buddy owning it) :
Clean Title - I Verified This With CarFax
90k on the motor/trans/clutch
New Flowmasters
New Heads
New Headers
New Radiator
New Battery
New Front Suspension
Recent Brakes
Decent Tires
Decent Interior
Newer Pioneer Deck

The Bad:
Body Has 175k on it
Exhuast Leak
Needs Plugs/Wires
Needs Rear Shocks
Needs Rear Axel Gasket
Some Rust In The Rear
Needs Rear Brake Line
Needs Idler/Tensioner Pulleys
Needs Minor Body Work.
Driver's Side Door Needs A New Bushing On The Lower Hinge

I didn't think she was worth throwing out yet Not that I really have the time to play with it either, but I felt bad seeing such a pretty lookin car go to the scrap heap. The work it needs is not something thats very difficult to do, so she'll be a project car, not my daily. Sorry for the quality of the pics, took them on my phone. I haven't taken the car home yet, probably next week. Need to clean out the garage first lol.

- Alex

Some Bondo that my buddy started to apply. The previous owner tagged a mail box.

Rust damage in the rear rail. Hopefully fixable. Any ideas?

Yea, just the back end of the car is rusty. The front is very solid. According to CarFax, the car started it's life in Florida and then came up here, thus accounting for the rust.
