Hi all, the names Mike and I'm from NE Indiana. I am trying to resurrect a 70 mach1 that had been rolled in the early 80's. I got the car and a boat load of parts given to me with the understanding that I fix the car. I have a complete car and then some. I have replaced the entire top half of the car, core support, floor pans and fenders. I am getting to the point of needing a motor and tranny. The car orginally had a 351 C and 4 speed. I am not picky as to which motor and trranny I put in(lets face it, this aint no show car!) I have access to a 351W in a mid 80's truck. My main question is (if all of you will grace me with your knowledge) can I drop that motor in my stang without any problems and if I find a 4 speed, will it bolt to the newer 351W? Any advice in this HUGE undertaking is greatly appreciated. BTW. I am not looking to spend a small fortune on this car. I just dont have alot of money but I really want to get this car drivable again. It would mean alot the person who gave the car to me (dear friend) Thanks for any and all help.
