My name is Dave. It has been a long time since I have had another Mustang. I had a 94 GT which I reluctantly sold after being transferred to Kodiak, AK in 2001. I traded my pony for a 96 Bronco which is a wonderful truck and served me well on all of the unpaved roads of the island. But there was always that feeling... of something missing in my life.
A few years later I found myself stationed in Wisconsin. I remember coming home from work one afternoon and sitting at the corner at Oostburg Ford were two 07 Shelby GT's. One black, one white. I rushed home like an excited kid running in the house yelling for my wife to get in the car and come look whats at the Ford dealer. We went and looked at them and I fell in love with the white (which I normally hate white cars). Then reality set in with the wife reminding me about the mortgage on the new house we just bought, credit card bills, etc. She always said "One day you'll have a Mustang again". Yeah right. And so the years went by...
Just recently after many years, my wife was lucky enough to come into a little money. The first thing she said was to go find your Mustang. Woo hoo! I looked at new ones but something kept bringing me to the excitement I had when I first saw that white 07 Shelby GT. So I started my quest to find a clean, low milage one and talked with my brother (americaniron) about it. By chance, he said there was a member in his mustang club that was selling a white 07! I was sold. Didn't even need to drive it. 4k miles, completely stock, owned by former Carolina Trooper and garage kept.
I am proud to say I am now the owner of a white 07 Mustang Shelby!
Dave
