Howdy, y'all
Just thought I would pop in and introduce myself. I have a '88 GT convertible that is quite rough around the edges. But, fortunately, I have the green light from the all powerful Wife to begin the restoration. I do 90% of all my own work and this is my 3rd mustang since I was 15.
This car was my wife's dream car when she was in high school. So when I found it I knew I would have to find a way to get it. I talked and talked with the owner and we struck a deal. He fell in love with my old '92 camaro rs, and we made it an even swap.
My plans with the car are simple, I want a "correct" car. I don't want to race it, modify it, or otherwise put wierd parts on it. I grew up in the mustang community and have seen the value of the classic convertibles go from around $1000 (fully restored) to over $20,000. I have that vision for this one. After all, it is the mustang of my generation.
I will be posting quite a bit looking for advice and knowledge from the wise and knowledgable from this site. I want to do this car right but want to do it myself, more satisfaction that way. I look forward to talking with y'all in the future.
