Default New Guy from Alabama

Hey, new guy here (longtime lurker). I have a '96 V6 Auto Mustang that I married into 9 1/2 years ago. Since we have had a couple of kids it has become my daily driver while the wife is tooling around in the SUV. It has an estimated 200,000+ miles on it (I say estimated because the odometer stopped at 165,999.9 miles a while back. It has been a pretty good car despite having some brake problems at the beginning (brakes were put on at 5:00pm on a Fri apparently as three of the four caliper were cross threaded and stripped) and a blown head gasket last year. This year the toll has been a new radiator, but still the repair bills are less than a new car.

Joined the forum because I plan on getting me a new car in the next year or two and the Mustang is going to be the "fun car" again. I'm already starting to gather information on dropping a 351W in it and converting it from auto to stick, so basically I'm going to gut the drivetrain front to back and put a new suspension on it. So it will be a '96 frame and body with everything else replaced.

Welcome, been to Huntsville several times. We used to go to a tractor junkyard to buy parts, been over to Tony to some auctions at Fowlers also. I want to go to Hunstville and see some ProMod or some 10.5 outlaw this year. I hear that is a good track.
