noob from St. Louis
Greetings from Scott AFB via Kuwait.
I stumbled on this site while surfing here at Camp Arifjan. Have been a blue oval addict for a while now.
Here's a short pictorial history of my "dependency":
#1. 1984 Santa Rosa County, FL FHP Mustang. First and the fastest. Ran a best of 10.92 @ 128 with a warmed over 306 and a 150 shot.
Damn I miss this car!
#2: 1994 Lightning. #1339 of 4007 built in 94. Recent recipient of a new 393 (nasty nitrous incident my shrink recommends I don't dwell on!)
Pretty quick for a 4,600 lb. truck.
stock wheels
Gen II wheels
#3. Pristine 70K original 86GT. Bone stock w/ MAC shorties and Flowmasters. Sweetest four eye I had ever seen. I fell in love at first sight and traded #1 straight up.
That's me and the next generation Ford faithful.
I let me wife talk me into selling this thing for $4,500.00! Proceeds of which directly contributed to the aforementioned "nasty nitrous incident."
#4. My brief foray into the world of non-Mustang Fox bodies. A 1988 5.0L T-bird with 73K miles. Beautiful car, but with the non-HO 5.0 and 2.73's it was a dog. This is the only car that I ever sold for what I had in it.
Draglites, bigs and littles will make just about anything LOOK fast!
#5. Finally, back to a Mustang. Got a honey of a deal on this 90LX. Already done up. 6 point moly cage, connectors, K member, coil overs, Flaming river rack, Southsides, you name it!
The hood was off getting painted.
So, needless to say, I like Fords (and Draglites)!

RE: noob from St. Louis
ZEX dry nitrous kit $500.00
One tank of 93 octane $35.00
Forgetting to switch to the
tank with the good gas on the 125
shot, thereby allowing you to talk
your wife into a new stroker. Priceless
BTW there 99 Saleen, where in Mass you from? I was stationed at Newport, RI and used to travel up to Fall River Mass. with the red car to watch the street racers on the weekends.
