New guy w/triple white fox
Hey everyone, I'm the new owner of a 1993 triple white 5.0 LX. Here's the story: I also own a 2003 F150 with the 4.6l triton. I had purchased a complete long block lightning engine to eventually put into my truck. After seeing it was just gonna keep costing me money, I decided to sell the engine. I sold it to a guy who lives down on the Texas/Mexico border, so we met in San Antonio (about 3.5 hours from us both). I gave him the engine, he gave me the cash, and on the way back I spy this triple white fox and tell my dad - "pull over!" Long story short, I ended up driving the car home and never seeing the cash from the engine haha.
The car had been towed behind an old man's RV for most of its life, so it had a tow bar on the front as well as a hitch on the rear. I have removed both, but they cut through the front bumper to install the tow bar :/
So far, I've replaced the power door lock actuators, fixed an ignition switch problem, removed the hitch and tow bar, replaced both door handles (just the pass. side was broke, but both were faded).
Car is all original and runs great. Had a bit of loss of power/hesitation when I first bought it, but cleaned the MAF and replaced the fuel filter and it's running great again.
Odometer says 44k; looking at the body, I would say that's correct. Looking at the upholstery, I would say it's 144k. But the rest of the interior is immaculate, so I don't know how to check on actual mileage. The guy I bought it from didn't know either.
I want to restore it to original condition and get it looking new again. New upholstery, new top, new headlights, and possibly fresh coat of paint in the distant future as I'm somewhat pleased with the paint at the moment, even though there's a few knicks here and there. Original window sticker came with the car. I even have some sort of order sheet and a warranty card (no longer good, of course).
Anyway, on to pics:
pic of the paint condition:
window sticker - you can see the cracking seats as well here.
More interior pics coming. Looking forward to giving/receiving advice on here
