Default Hello

I'm new to the forum, and fairly new to owning a car I could remotely call a hobby. I drove a '98 V6 for years but it was strictly a commuter. In April, I bought a new '03 GT Convertible (the Premium package with the interior trim upgrade, i.e. the Bullitt trim less the shifter ****). Since then I've added the following:

Vortech V1 S trim w/ Intercooler (10 lbs psi)

Anderson Ford Motorsports Powerpipe (+1-2 lbs psi)

Pro-M 80mm MAF with Remote Optimizer

BBK 75mm TB

C&L Upper Intake Plenum

42# Bosch Injectors

Diablo Chip (tuned by So-Cal Diablo)

Magnaflow Offroad X-Pipe

Magnaflow mufflers

Dynomax 2.5" Cat-back

Baer 13" front brakes

Baer Eradispeed rotors on the back

Maximum Motorsports Bilstein Coilovers (375 lbs front, 275 lbs rear)

Maximum Mototsports Panhard Bar and Lower Control Arms

Maximum Motorsports Camber/Caster Plates

Steeda Heavy-Duty Swaybars - front and back

Walbro GSS342 255lph high pressure intank fuel pump

Mach I Chin Spoiler

Mach I Grill Delete

CDC Shaker System (inoperable since the Vortech went in)

CDC Light Bar

AutoMeter Luna Gauges

Mach I shifter ****
Over the process, some other things went on and them came off:

K&N FIPK was replaced by C&N MAF and True Flow Pipe, which then came off when the Vortech went on

Flowmaster 40's were the first mod, but then became too loud - especially after the Vortech.
Items either ordered or in the garage waiting to be installed after the holidays:

Anderson Ford Motorsports PMS for the EEC-V

This will replace the Diablo Chip

I'll be getting one of the first ones out the door
Maximum Motorsports Full Length Subframe Connectors

Maximum Motorsports Heavy Duty Torque Arm (goodbye upper control arms)

Baer Touring 12" rear Brake Kit

Kenny Brown Rear Shock Tower Brace,Extreme Matrix Brace , and Jacking Rails.

JBA Titanium Coated Shortie Headers

Bassani X-Pipe w/cats

JBA Evol Cat-Back
It's been a lot of fun playing with this car - which is still a daily commuter as well. My only regret is not giving the Mach I or the Cobra more consideration. I did not fully appreciate the difference in the bottom end of the motors. Still, I cleared 400 rwhp with a healthy safety margin in timing retard. I'm planning on playing with that once the PMS goes in - and now that I've found a local '76 station that sells 100 octane unleaded pump gas. Maybe I can safely crack 415-420 rwhp after the above remaining mods? Based on what the folks at Anderson have been saying, I'm very excited about the possibilities with their PMS for the EEC-V.

Anyway - just thought I'd join-up and say "Hey".
<edited><editID>Patterson</editID><editDate>37967.4645023148</editDate></edited>

hey man im new too. I have a screaming yellow '04 cobra coupe i was under the impression that conertable tends to loosen up on ya and there heavier, with a black widow body kit www.grounddesigns2000.com and a costum two-toned paint job (so yellow and black) whith aroof scoop. I have been criticized by some for getting the kit, they say it makes it look like an import.of course they haven't seen the car in person they saw that website ^i think it gives it a unique look, one i can call my own, it also makes it look mean. I considered a saleen kit or a cobra R as well. As for performance i thought of a biggerdrag ratio, cold airintake, ya know the usual. i would like yours and others opinions about the paint job which is here www.roushperf.com/html/rpp_mustangboyd.htmthe kit and the modsonly its on a convertable.

thanx

A Reichard Racing manifold (for Oval TB) is also on order now, along with the Accufab TB and Vortech intercooler adapter - my Christmas gift from the wife. That means a BBK 75mm and C&L plenum may be on the market soon - not to mention the Vortech intercooler round tb adapter and stock manifold.

My "connection" (Jack @ MuscleMotors) is talking aout a 5.1 ltr stroker. Man - this is one very slippery slope I've found myself on!

Thanks for the welcome!
<edited><editID>Patterson</editID><editDate>37975.0007060185</editDate></edited>
