I bought a used
2005 Mustang...nice ride but i need to purchase a alternator...is this expensive to get done?

Very easy to do yourself, buy one off of AM (or get an OEM one if you want) which I think are around $200-300(? Don't quote me on that, I only glanced at the price a while ago) and you get a higher output alternator that won't crap out on you again.

Installation is relatively straightforward, this (just click on your engine type) should tell you everything you need to do step by step. But I'd recommend asking in the 05-09 tech section if you have any problems/questions.

Welcome.. and you can do it yourself.. You can find the PA alternator on AM for about 230.. Isn't hard to remove and install.
