My Story -- don't flame me lol
Born in 1956 so the cars I fell in love with was the first generation mustangs and camaros. But, by the time I could afford a new car, they both sucked...smog equipment killed them on the floor. Fast forward to 1997 and test drive mustang and a z28. Fell in love with the z28 with the lt1 engine. Off the showroom floor, the car would smoke em in 1 and 2 then chirp third with the 4l60 auto. Responded well to shorty 1 5/8 headers and cat back exhaust and canned tune. Shift kit installed and smoke em in 1/2/3 and chirp 4th.
Things happen and I get rid of the z28 and subsequent camaro ss (4th gens) and return to my roots....biker.
2006 I buy a v6 mustang because I like the retro style. Kept the car 3 years and moved to a 5th gen camaro ss. Love the car. 2 weeks ago, I take the wife to look for her a new mustang (die hard fan). Test drive 13 GT/CS, auto. While creeping along in the merge lane waiting for a hole to jump into, my chance happens and I nail the throttle while doing maybe 5mph. Man, this car sounds bad from the factory...then the tires break loose..the nannies keep the car from getting totally out of control (it was still fishtailing back and forth) and I merge...we hit 60 fast. We both loved the car and bought it upon return to the dealership.
Forward 1 week later, and I trade the 12 camaro ss for a 13 GT, manual for me. Ford....I'm back. This coyote engine has got it. I do believe that stock for stock the mustang would beat the camaro in the 1/4 mi. Gets as good MPG. Camaro handles better. I think a set of bilstein shocks would fix that problem easily.
But, again I'm back and going to stick with this car....Ford nailed it for a factory stock car.

Awesome to have you back on this side.. And welcome to MF..
As for shocks, Bilsteins are good but IMO there are better options.. Just depends on what you're willing to spend and what you're looking for with comfort/handling.. Enjoy your car though
