Mustang Owners Wave?
#12
I wave frequently, and more often than not get a wave back, but I'm somewhat selective in which cars I give a wave to.
If it's obviously a 100% bone stock car, not especially well maintained (dirty, dings, etc) I normally pass. Those are generally "It's just transportation" owners, and if they notice at all, 98% of the time all you get back is the "who is that, do I know them?" stare.
If it's a car that's obviously had some time and work put into it, whether it's pristine or rough/in progress, I'll wave and almost always get a return. Upscale models (Shelby, Roush, Saleen, etc) also automatically get a wave, as those are almost always owned by enthusiasts (folks don't tend to spend 10-20 grand extra, if they're in the "it's just wheels for commuting" group).

I wave, and occasionally get a wave back. Earlier this year, I was on my way back up to MA from Philly and passed by two Shelbys coming from the AM Mustang show. I gave thumbs up, but didn't even get acknowledged. And we were going in the same direction! LOL

I'll give a thumbs-up when I see a car which looks like the owner's put some love and cash into it. Of course, here in CT nobody waves back except with the middle finger.
I used to wave to every motorcycle when I was riding my KLR650, but Sundays in summer you just can't wave to everybody, especially all the big fat Harleys.
I have a somewhat rare Buick Regal, and I always beep and wave when I see another. I've even followed a few into parking lots, just to say "nice car!" And find out if they want to sell, of course.

Welcome to the forums, and generally I don't think Mustang owners wave, kind of sad but oh well, I've had 4 people wave at me and i've waved back.
