Welcome! I have an 07 GT myself and I think you'll really love what you can do with just a few mods. A cold air intake package from Bama (like the Airaid Race CAI and Bama Tuner), along with an axle-back exhaust and you'll see 30 HP / 30 TQ gains (on 93 octane), 1-3 MPG increase and killer sound!
