Hi, Driving a '02 Saleen currently
New to the site after looking around for spec's on the 2002 Ford Mustang Saleen S281 that I own. Bought it at a courtesy for $12.1k final price. Didn't have the S/C but it had only 43k miles on it.
Have only had it for two months or so now and I'm interested in getting a newer model vehicle since it'll lower my interest rate on the auto loan that I've got. I'm also looking to get my insurance payments reduced by getting a non-convertible.

I didn't want to double post on my first time but I couldn't find the edit option. Could anyone give me advice on what direction to go for a newer vehicle? I'm looking for a sporty look, manual, somewhere near the same capability as the saleen (285 hp/320 torque @ 4.1k rpm), 2008 model or higher, and under $12k?

Welcome to the forums!
Hm, not a 2008 but maybe an srt4 neon? A neon is around 5-9k. People say its just a neon but they are actually not bad for what it is. Caliber srt4 i believe does cost more than 12k and is a 2008-09 but maybe if you look hard you can find one.

For some reason i understood as him saying he wanted another car along with his saleen but I guess he wants something cheaper. Yeah it's a neon srt4, never had one but I have friends with some and they are pretty fast, in fact they can easily beat any mustang gt with exhaust with the exception of the new 5.0 so yeah it's pretty sad I guess because it's just a "neon". You are not gonna find a newer vehicle for less than 12k for that much performance, the srt4s are some of the ones that you will unless you go for a cobra or mach 1, or a turbo cobalt which are really ugly.

Edit:I'm looking to flip the Saleen and pay off the auto loan. If I get something that isn't a convertible, older than a 2007, and even around the same price range. I save with lower interest, longer loan duration, and on my insurance.
I'm looking for any vehicle, not necessarily a Mustang.
