Gday all,

I don't have a Mustang at the moment (not sold here until Mustang goes global), but am interested in importing one to Asia where I will be moving next year. No idea how yet... But I'm interested in a 4.0L V6 due to the fact tgat there's no way a V8 would ever be able to be opened up.

I do have this...

Welcome to the board! Would love to hear more about your ride. Will you be taking it with you when you move, or will you have to part w/it? Not sure if the V6 will be available on the global Mustang, but from what I hear a turbo 4 will. Thanks for the pics, btw!

Welcome and nice ride. I bet a right hand drive Mustang would be a highly desirable car in Australia. I wish Ford sold a left hand drive FPV here.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I should have clarified, I wont be able to afford a Global Mustang, I would want to import a used 2005 - 2007 4L V6 from your neck of the woods. I will be pouring through the dedicated sections of your site soon. But my biggest concern is how to get it to China...

Regarding my F6 Typhoon (Falcon), I would love to import that when I go, however China is LHD and Australia is RHD. And for a rare bird like mine, I would not want to have it converted as I am not even sure how long I will be in China for at this stage.

Some info on my ride as some of you seem curious.

Its a 2007 Ford Falcon BF series II FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) F6 Tyhpoon.
Which means its chassis is a Ford Falcon descendant of the 60's Falcons both Aus and USA shared that has been played with by Prodrive (think WRC Subaru team of the late 90's and early 2000's).
It has a Inline 6 cylinder engine with a Garrett GT3540 turbocharger with an internal gate running 0.64 bar of boost attached that makes 270fwkw and does 0-100kmh (0-60mph) in 5.0 - 5.1 seconds.
The turbocharged 4.0L Inline Six, includes: a modified FPV airbox (with Dual Ram Air intakes), higher strength conrods, large air to air intercooler, high flow exhaust system, high capacity fuel pump. The engine specs are of 270 kW (360 bhp) at 5250 rpm and 550 N·m (410 ft·lbf) at 2000-4250 rpm of torque.

Full leather interior, with Dual Zone Climate Control, Traction Control etc, IRS, 6 speed ZF auto, with no real mods to date (had it for 6 months). However I do have a 700 horse Turbo upgrade kit ready for the car sitting in the shed waiting for some extra $$. Aim is a lazy 400rwkw, which is easily made with these engines.

mph07alloy, mate we would love to send our Falcon to you guys as Holden have done with the old Monaro, Pontiac SS and the new Chev SS. Unfortunately us Aussies are fearing that unless we can find an export market that FoMoCo USA allows us to pursue then the current platform may be its last!! But Mustang might help soften the blow for us...
