With all the unique muscle cars you have down there, why choose to convert an '08? I guess the Mustang may be a unique car for you guys down under. I have always wanted to go to Australia.

Gratz on the car and welcome to MF.

Awesome. What does it cost realistically to get a car like this converted to RHD?

Thankyou everone for your friendly welcome!

In Australia if the car is less than 30 years old it must be converted to RHD to be driven on the road, the conversion cost is $40,000! With this you will soon see there are not a lot in Australia, I live in South Australia and only know of 4 in the state, probably 100 in all of Australia.

The conversion on 2005 onwards Mustangs need to be a perfect mirror image and fully engineered. My car was bought in California in 2012 and converted in January this year so I am the first Aussie owner.

To give you an idea of costs the Australian govt has tarrif fees-goods and services tax-luxury tax + freight a new standard GT converted to RHD sells here for $145,000, a super snake $275,000. Our $ is around the same as the US and our fuel is $6.00 a gallon.

So from this you will see that my 2008 Premium GT is very special to me...
