New to site, old to Mustangs
Hi all -
In the leading months I will buy my forth Mustang since 1979. I'm a retired Air Force, full time gear head guy that really doesn't discriminated among brands, import or domestic cars. My daily driver is a 98 Civic HX 5 speed that gives me 42 mpg and ice cold air. Fun as hell to drive too.
My first car was bought in 79, a 1970 fastback Mustang, red with the Mach I hood stripe. Fun car - 302 2v and an auto, but a bit under powered.

Years later, returning from Germany I got a 82 GT, 4 speed and all the goodies - Loved the angler shape and wish I still had it.

In Texas I bought this as the second owner - what a beast, 5 speed and very well equipped.

All were sold for various reasons - hard to keep a hobby car, move around the world and raise a family. Kids are older now and I am living in my own house with a new career and money.... So, I'm in the market. Looking for a 2008 - 2010 GT. Want a fun car, but don't feel like I need 400+ hp!
I'll enjoy myself reading around here.

I love you old cars. I bet you wish you still had every one of those. Oh and just for the heck of it go drive the 5.0 before you buy. I went from a 2010 4.6 to a 2011 5.0 and the 5.0 is like butter, so much more smooth and quiet than the 4.6 but yet brutal when need be.
