Thank you. Its been a little while since I've been on here. Here is a little update on the budget stang. I've already put 4,000 miles on it. THe only problem I had so far was occasionally it would be completely dead when I turned the ignition. Nothing would light up on the dash, and the started wouldn't even attempt to crank. Whenever I have electrical issues I always start with the battery, battery cables and alternator. In that order. I had the battery tested and it was good. Put it back in and it fired right up. Hmmmm, I touched nothing else other than the battery and the cables. So I whacked off the battery cable ends and installed some new ones. No problems since. It must have been deterioration in the battery cable ends.

I'm getting 25 mpg average with a few tanks I got 27 mpg. I'm driving pure interstate. The only real complaint I have about this car is the center vents above the climate controls seem to rattle/vibrate/make an anoying noise. I wedged some shims in behind the bezel that holds them and I haven't heard any noise since.

Overall....for a car I spent $1650 on....its a great car. If I bought it new in 2000 I would have been disappointed for paying a lot more for it.

I'm looking forward to Ford taking its F150 aluminum body technology and applying it to the new 4 cylinder eco-boost mustang that is coming out. Now that would make a great light weight tuner car with the IRS RWD. As far as I know, no one is making a stock turbocharged 4cyl RWD IRS car in the states. That sure would turn a lot of foreign car lovers into domestic tuners. Im not sure what BMW and Mercedes offer, but do they have a turbo 4cyl rwd irs car? THey don't still make the honda s2000 do they? THe closest thing I can think of would be the new FRS/BRZ cars but they are under powered flat 4's. Nice cars though. I rode in a BRZ and was impressed with the fit and finish.

Cars in general and firearms.....how about that? I'm a gear head all around and appreciate most everything for what it was designed to do, unless its that pitiful excuse of a "green" car, the Prius. What a joke. Did you know the manufacturing process for that vehicle pollutes the environment more than the gas it would have taken to power the car normally? phhht..
