New from tx with questions
OK I bought me an 89 convertible lx. its pretty rough but its on it way back none the less. It has a 5.0 no smog pump with headers and a mystery cam.
No o2 sensors at the moment. I have cleaned IAC capped holes in the headers and set timing till Im blue in the face. my question is how the hell can I smooth out the idle and get rid of the rich running. (smog is pipe is capped off but the cannister is still hooked up. I have been all over this thing look for vaccum leaks and found none. will it ever run good with out the smog system. I plan on putting o2 sensors in it. dash is out because its at the paint shop I know check engine light is on but I dont know how to pull codes on these things.
