Default 1968 Mustang with 88 5.0 engine

Hey I'm new here and had a question. I just bought my second Mustang, a 1968 Mustang with an 88 5.0 engine (my first was a 2001 Mustang v6). I was wondering how much horsepower/torque I should expect. I know the 68 is lighter than the 88s. Also right now it isn't fuel injected it's carbureted, it has a dual carb intake manifold with 4 barrel carbs and I was planning on adding a cam. How much hp should I get?
Additional:
Has c4 trans (thinking of swapping if anyone has suggestions)
9" posi rear end
Any other mods you suggest other than a cam??
Thanks for everything!

Welcome

You'll get more responses to this question if you post it over in the Fox section, under general discussion. But stock they were only 220 hp at the crank, and we're gonna need more info other than it has a dual carb setup. Be as detailed as you can and we'll try to get you a rough estimate.

220 HP to the crank... Like 180-190 to the wheels.

Can you post a picture of your motor? I have a dilemma in that I have a 5.0 from a 1987 Bronco that I want to put in my '68 and I'm not sure it will fit.

I don't have a picture of the engine on me, I think it might be somewhere on my computer. It fit in there really nice though, enough room to work on it. It wasn't too cramped in
