Do I understand the rules correctly that I need to make 50 rather frivolous posts before I get enough privileges to post a classified?

I couldn't find this procedure described in the FAQ section. Did I miss it?

No it takes more than just doing "50 frivolous" posts. Just doing "welcome" over and over won't do it, you need quality posts and time on the board before you can sell.

And there is a sticky at the top of the classified section giving you the rules.

The rule was put in place to avoid our members from getting scammed. It happens quite often on automotive forums.
