Default 1995 GT AC Compreeor

I have a 95 GT the compressor was not working took off the clutch and it free wheeled but now it has frozen up and and the belt is burning. Do I have to change the whole compressor to have my car run again and it it somthing I might be able to do.
Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm assuming you want to keep the ac, so I would just pull a good used one from a salvage yard and get the system recharged. I've never ripped one apart to see if bearings can be replaced, maybe its simple to do. Google it or You Tube may have a vid.
