2007 Mustang GT rear bumper removal
#2
Remove trunk plastics the taillights first. There's 3-10mm bolts behind the trunk plastics for each taillight assembly. Pull your bulbs too.
Remove the rear wheels & take it the 2 small bolts in each wheel well (I think they're either a 6 or 8mm, not sure). Pop the sides loose from the clips& disconnect the market lights.
There are 4-10mm (I think 10mm) bolts in the back wall of the trunk that holds the top of the rear bumper in place. Remove them, be sure to have a magnet on hand because you will drop at least 1. LolAfter taking these off, you'll be able to pop the rear loose from the 2 corner clips. Slide the bumper off the rear bash bar & disconnect the tag light.
This should be everything for removal. Replacement is the same in reverse. Good luck.
I'm still waiting on a reply asking if an 08 GT/CS will be a direct fit for my 06 GT convertible.

I was thinking it would be since the 05-09 are the same body style with minimal changes to accessories such as, seat heaters, media plugs & mood lighting. I just wanted to hear it from someone else before spending $300-400 on ANOTHER rear bumper.
Thank you for confirming & I hope that the steps I gave for removing your bumper helps. When I did the garbage Duraflex bumper on mine, it was the first time I'd removed mine. I do recommend having someone to help hold it. That will make it a LOT easier.
