Default Just Looking

Well the last kid is off to college in the fall and we will be empty nesters. My wife needs a new car next spring and she has always wanted a Mustang so I'm starting to look at them. V6, maybe a convertible, we do live in Michigan so I don't know on that one. It will be her daily driver.

That's why I'm starting now. New vs low mileage used, coupe vs convertible. What are the quirks, the common problem and TSB's? All that good stuff. I like the fifth gen and it's updates. The sixth gen looks good too. I have friends in the car business and I'm looking at getting a late model used one for a weekend test drive just to make sure it's what she wants.

2005 - 2014 has a TSB issue with Hydro bushings making a lot of noise but its nothing to really worry about and Ford will fix it. The 05 to 08ish had a lot of issues with water leaks on the side windows. I think a little bit of that still exists as my 2013 gets water in its doors sometimes. I have to make sure the drain plugs are kept clean or it starts sloshing around... Convertibles are always going to be a tad more quirky tops tend to last maybe 10 years if its outside bit longer if its garaged.

The upside of Mustangs its lots of aftermarket parts so if she wants to customize appearance its pretty easy to do or performance
