The clicking is driving me Wild !!!!!
Hey guys
Ok so I bought my 2010 Mustang 4.0L Convertible 2 weeks ago through a dealer, however the warranty has run out.. anyway 3 days ago I got in turned the ignition and click click click click from behind the dash the car is turning over no problem and everything is working as it should but its now getting really annoying !!! I can only describe it as the sound of a CD getting stuck in the changer.
I have a feeling its the accuator but as im a Brit and this is my first experience of buying a car in the US I have no clue what my next move is. Plus as a woman I don't want my eyes ripped out being charged a fortune !.
HELP
Thank Y'all

Did you check the CD player?
Heh, heh, heh. Sorry, I could not resist. Welcome to the forum - you will not have an issue with getting plenty of help and support here that can save you from getting taken advantage of at a repair shop.
What part of Texas are you in?

Welcome to the forum, and I'd have to agree with the above reply. If it sounds like it's coming from the radio/cd, put your hand on it while it's making that noise, if you can feel the clicks, you may just have a bad head unit.

you mention that the warranty has run out, i assume you meant the factory warranty. however, shouldnt there be some type of dealership 30 day or 60 day good faith warranty on used cars?
regardless, since youve only had it for two weeks, i think if you raise a stink, they may take care of you

Hey
I'm in Dallas and houston !.
There's no Cd in the player, the problem occurs if the act is on or off however I can reproduce the fault if I switch on the windscreen defrost. The garage have already given me a new set of tires and it was a sold as seen with no warranty ! I will ask them though.

Which Ford dealer have you been going to for service?
