Default New to the Mustang world!

Greetings to all you Mustang owners!
Let me get right down to the point, I'm tired of not owning a car, I saved up several thousand dollars and I decided I really want a mustang, I've been on craigslist everyday looking for a sweet low mileage,Manual transmission sporty V8 Mustang for the right price under $7000..
I came across a 2003 Roush Stage 2 with 90,000 miles on it, so I'm hoping someone with knowledge about the Roush series in particular, can tell me if it would be a good buy, and what to know about them, the guy is asking $6,500 and hes willing to negotiate.

I'd say that sounds like a pretty good deal. Especially since he's also willing to negotiate. Welcome and good luck.

Welcome

Looks like the guy likes Mustangs with the driveway full of them. Seems like a very good price, almost to good. A Mustang nut will know what it's worth, and also what's wrong with it. Hopeful this guy will be honest. Keep us posted.

Welcome. Sounds like a fair deal but, I would consider taking it to a trusted mechanic and have them check it over first.

Default Reply for the Roush Stage 2

Drove to check it out, looks really cool, I was really liking it, so we had a ASE certified mechanic do a full inspection for about $120 in the shop.
Tires were worm out really bad, the engine had some intermittent miss sounding to it,the clutch was noisy due to the pilot bearing, steering pulled off to the right a bit, shimmying, One tail light broken, turn signals erratic, coolant condition bad, battery corroded, brake fluid really low, power sterring fluid- really dark, and the hoses were bloated..brake pads worn, oil filter housing leaking, and no A/C..
Still worth $6500?

I would not pay that much for the problems you listed.

Good luck in your search and welcome to MF.
