It's a V6. And she seems to have quite a lot of pep. After having driven her for a week and getting to know each other, she broke loose the rear from a half throttle punch at a stop light - I was not expecting that! Makes me wonder if a tune is even necessary at this point.
Yes, this car has so few miles on it, that it truly does feel like owning a new one!
So, while we're on the subject of modding...what do you all think? I know there are appearance mods I want to do, just to give her my own style, but do you all think an axle back and a tune are really all that important at this point?
She runs smooth, quick response after driving around for a bit so she could learn my style and she's already comfortable removing some rubber from time to time.
Also, Angel has no TCS nor ABS - found that out the other day in the rain. Good thing it was RWD so I could control the skid. That's a concern for me as I want my soon-to-be bride to be able to drive this car from time to time as well and ABS at least would mean a lot for her safety.
Would adding on ABS and/or TCS be a difficult mod or simply a weekend warrior project?

Personally, I know a lot of people want to put down the 6's, but when you can toss in a replacement K&N filter, reset the CPU, punch it and light up the tires for over 30', I'd call that pretty decent. With a tune and some heavier mods, I wouldn't be able to run this car without at least something close to M60's in width on the back - and those were go-to tires back in the day for all our V8 hot rods.
Just sayin' - I'm impressed with it. No, it doesn't have the "throw you into the trunk" force of a V8, but I could imagine having that without a lot of work.
The low miles are really a blessing - I feel like I have the perfect project car here - it's older, so not as expensive, but the entire car is cherry - exactly where you'd want it to do...well, anything.
That being said, sadly I may be looking at selling this beautiful angel...the wife and I are moving in the next couple of months and an $11k car is great - but that money could go to moving expenses and I could save up for another car after we move.
