Default new 1986 mustang gt owner

Bought a 86 gt and the old owner painted all the interior white and maroon, any thoughts on repainting? Looked into replacing all of it but can't get everything and it will be really expensive. Any help is appreciated. They used a high gloss paint on dash. Console. Door panels. Trim

Welcome to the forum

LOL, I bet that interior looks awesome !!! I think your stuck repainting it yourself to what you want. Or find a parts car to swap from. Good luck

Ya pretty sure guy used auto paint too. Pita to remove. Even scuffing it to repaint isn't working so well. Have had no luck finding parts car. I painted most the trim last night. Still need to remove inside quarter panels and do them. Also gotta do console and dash. Think it's ok to leave dash in and mask everything off and paint,? Planning on buying new dash cover. Also used door panels to paint to match. I feel $175 is a lot for panels. Camaro parts are soo much cheaper lol

Also what are your thoughts on painting carpet and headliner? Carpet is fairly new but it's red and headliner is off white with stains but is also fairly new. I'm doing interior black and I was thinking about doing carpet and headliner charcoal gray and then adding some charcoal gray into console and panels. Matte finish on black and charcoal. Input?

welcome

Sounds like it could be a slow and pain staking process...but worth it in the end!

What do you guys think about fixing this rear bumper/ground effect? Was cracked when I bought it. Cracked right where there are screws. Not sure if precious owner added screws or what. Also here are pictures of the interior. All interior is out now except for seats and dash. I'm getting rid of the white leather seats and probably going to scuff and paint dash whole still in car. Where can I buy a new dash top? Just the top piece. Ebay has covers and mats but are the covers what I'm looking for? Here are pictures

Will 87-93 interior door panels bolt right up to my 86 ? I'm reading mixed reviews. Some say yes and others say no
