Hood Install Question
So I'm working on installing an aftermarket hood on my 87 mustang and was wondering if the spring latch that is on the factory hood is needed for the aftermarket hood? Or does the latch on the vehicle just lock over the cutout on the aftermarket hood? Thanks!

Yes, that spring latch should bolt on to your new hood. Without it, there's nothing keeping it down if it pops up at speed. The PO of my car found this out the hard way lol. I also put a pin kit in for extra security.
Some hoods may be different, but mine used all the factory mechanisms.
