Squealing rotors on 2015 Ecoboost Premium
Need some input, especially from any 2015 Mustang owners. We own a 2015 Ecoboost Premium model and we noticed that the brakes were making a loud noise especially when the car is 'cold'. We entered a car show in FL back in January and when we were leaving the show, hundreds of people were lining the side of the exit road watching the cars leave and as we had to do a lot of stop and go, the brakes made the noise and we felt pretty stupid. We took the car back to the dealer and they 'shaved' the rotors. Two weeks later, the same issue resurfaced. It's back at the dealership and today they said that it's probably because the car is new and it's the 'new car break in period'. Sorry, but I have owned two brand new Mustangs over the last 11 years and never had an issue that was considered 'new car break in period'. SO, I told the dealership that this is not an acceptable answer and things need to be made right. Just got a call that they are replacing the rotors. MY QUESTION is: anyone else experience this issue with the 2015? Is the response from the dealership a load of crock? Is replacing the rotors the right thing to do? The car has only 7100 miles on it.
