Hello everyone, im rick. I registered here about 11 years ago to ask for some help on my friends 96 gt. Now I have my own 97 gt and remembered I had joined this board so I retrieved my password and came back on. This is my first ford and so far I am enjoying it. We discovered a bad bearing on the passenger side of the diff case a few days ago, as well as some loose spider gears so I have ordered a new 373 gear set from ford racing, a new traklok unit and all new bearings and seals etc to fix it up with. Parts will be here next week and I can't wait lol. Anyways good tidings to you all here and I may be around looking for tech advice or help etc for this thing. Thanks in advance.

We have spent the past two days trying to get these new 373 gears to mesh quietly to no avail, so now we are putting the old 327 gears back in. I'm so disappointed. Seems to be an issue with how the gears were cut. We can't get them quiet no matter what we do, it's so loud you guys wouldn't even believe it.
