Default 2012 Mustang front end 'clunking'

I recently purchased a 2012 Ford Mustang Premium. Right from the start, I complained about a clunking in the front end, driver side. The car has 46,000 miles on it and I thought it was the struts. According to the dealer, the struts are fine and a problem cannot be found. after reading the forum, I see this problem frequently mentioned. Other than the sway bar, has anyone had this problem and resolved it?

Welcome to the forum.

I'd start a thread in the Tech section, they'll help you more over there. Good luck

Welcome!
It's pretty easy to see if it is the sway bar bushings, if you look at them closely you'll see a small gap where they clamp around the sway bar. The rear bars are easier to see than the front.
Replacing the sway bars is pretty easy and inexpensive, about an hour each.
Make sure you Loctite the bolts in, or they will work loose.
After about 15K miles my rear bushings were so worn I ran a sheet rock screw into the bushing to swell it up while I was waiting for the new bars to arrive. Worked pretty well for a couple of weeks. I was pretty surprised that they wore out that fast.

Welcome, my 12 had the clunking noise very early on. It was the lower control arms, replaced them and all the noise went away. This mentions other noises but you should have them check your car for TSB's.

Thanks guys! Great feed back. I have it in service now. They changed the sway bars which didn't help. I Don't know if the lower control arms are the same thing, but I will mention it to them if they can't find the problem. I'll let you know.
