I have a 2001 GT Mustang V8 4.6. I have a rod bearing that is bad. I am planning on doing an engine swap. Are the Cobra and Bullitt engines compatible swaps or doing I need to stick to the original engine?

I'm not familiar with the modular motors, but I think they should drop in. Start a new thread in the Tech section for your year car. They'll definitely know more on this swap. Good luck
