Posted in the wrong section but to answer your question, stock for stock, equal drivers the GT should pull this one out. For a better response post in the strip/ street section of MF.

The V6 0 to 60 is about 5.1 if you can shift. I'd say the win goes to the best driver.

GT has the torque advantage and should win. However the cars are close enough in power that it's not unreasonable to see a V6 winning with a good driver.

Agree, driver's race. But as Blue stated, V8 torque should get it out in front sooner.

Where do you get 5.1 from for a V6? 5.1 is 05-09 GT time.

All of the rags and even this guy's runs have the 0-60 of a 3.7L Mustang at around 5.8 That's for the manual and Auto.

Just about every source has the same numbers +/- 0.1 seconds

Unless the GT driver is a complete moron at launch, the v6 will be in the rear view. There is a correct way to launch a GT auto and it's not just mashing the pedal.

I don't have the link with me, in Detroit this week, but one of the magazines had that time when they first came out. My best time is 5.6 with 3/4 tank of gas on a crappy road. AM's 3.7 is under 5 second with a few bolt ons. I'm sure with a decent driver at the track mine could run 5.1. The 3.31 rear end means I can spin my 9"x 18" Michelin Pilot Sports most of the way through 1st, which is 36 mph. Lack of torque is not an issue from a dead stop, I'm sure it is above 60 or 70. The 3.7 stick is about 200lbs lighter in the front which means an easier hookup from a dead stop.
