Could a 14 v6 beat a 07 GT?

Here is the link I was referring to, 0-60 was 5.4 not 5.1.

Strapped with our test gear, we spurred a new V-6 Mustang with the standard six-speed manual to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 14 flat at 104 mph. That’s over one second better in both tests than the previous V-6 model and just a half-second or so off the paces of the quickest 2010 GT we tested

Yeah I can see the extra power from 'Sport mode' on the car pushing it an extra 0.4 faster in the 0-60 (instead of 5.8 it drops to 5.4). Tuning is everything on newer cars. So, all things equal, still the GT on paper but...drivers race in reality.

Not that this is 100% proof of the outcome, but I have an 07 GT 5spd and my father just happens to have a 2014 v6 auto. How ironic ;-). When my car was stock we raced 4 times at the local track. Each time I would pull him thanks to my torque advantage but he would keep the gap consistent. My 07 won all 4 times. For what it is worth to this thread. Now that I am no longer stock, the race isn't even close at all.
