2005 mustang v6 suspension issue
Been lurking around the forums for awhile and its solved many issues so I thought I'd join haha. Got an issue though.
I bought my mustang about two months ago and always had this clunking sound whenever I hit any bump at any speed, I have replaced front struts and shocks and also got the front strut mount upgrade from AM. Still got a crappy suspension sound. The clunking noise is roughly the same in the rear and front. Couldnt find a bad bushing too. It's driving me crazy. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you.
Check out the Tech section for your year car, then ask this in there. You'll get alot more responses. Good luck
EDIT: I see you have already, never mind lol.

Noooo, S197 suspension clunks are extremely well documented on this forum and in the general Mustang community. Besides, it's not a body issue...it's a suspension issue. besides on a 2005 it most likely has all of these issues if they've never been addressed.
To the OP:
Areas prone to wear that cause clunking in no particular order:
Front Control arms
Front Stabilizer links
Front Upper Strut Mounts (did you get new ford ones or aftermarket ones?)
Front Sway Bar bushings. (This one is deceiving and if both front and rear sound similar, replace them regardless of how they 'look' They dry out and shrink. If you jack one side of the front of the car up, remove the wheel and grab the sway bar, I can almost guarantee that part will be easily moved around by your hand. That is a sign the bushings are shot.)

That's what I was thinking, front and rear sway bar bushings (not links). If you can move the bar around when you grab it, you can probably replicate the sound. That's how I figured it out what was up on my front end.
