Hi all, I have never owned an American car. I've always owed Japanese or German imports. The new mustang has my attention. It is simply awesome. I sold my bmw 335 recently and seriously considering buying a gt. I wanted to know if you all would consider it odd for an Asian buying American muscle car. I was born and raised in Texas, and now I reside in PA but have never seen an Asian drive an American muscle car. What are your thoughts? I just hope I don't get any derogatory comments if I bought one.

I think fair is fair, I see a ton of Caucasian Americans driving Asian imports. You should get the Mustang lol. You could be a "trend setter"

Only derogatory comments you should expect will come from other car guys who sit on the import side of the fence on the "import vs domestic" thing. Oh, and GM guys.

That sort of stuff is gonna happen no matter what you drive. There's always gonna be somebody who thinks your car sucks and theirs is better.

But it will be about your car, not your skin. Enjoy your new Mustang, and welcome to the site.

Thanks guys for the support. Wife approves of the mustang. She said it looks good but wants a yellow one. I'm going for the magnetic Grey premium package gt with manual box. Now it's time to price shop. So excited!
