yes that can help pinpoint a MAF problem.....by unplugging the MAF the pcm reverts to a table for fuel trim that is based off of coolant temp and will run richer, but will be stable enough to limp around (with poor fuel economy) it is not recommended to drive a supercharged setup without a operating MAF, you could damage your engine. since its pointing to a bad MAF i would pull out the sensor and see if you can track down a part number on it to do a google search on, you may fine a sensor that crosses. i know that with my kenne bell kit, kenne bell uses a ford MAF from the lightening (90mm) all kenne bell does is scratch off the part number so it makes it harder to buy a sensor from anybody but them. so you may look at the maf and see it has a ford logo on it.

ok so i have it off the MAF SENSOR looks no different then the stock one... the MAF tubing it 95mm.
so my question is: does this maf sensor matter?
are most the same???
is it all about the diameter of the tubing??
part number MAS0118
EABCDF
>PBT-GF30<
it looks like the stalk one just with a sticker on it.......

no the sensor and the tube are calibrated together, if you swap a sensor from a smaller tube into a larger tube the air flow reading will be WAY off. you need to have the correct sensor for the tube diameter, and that has to be the correct calibration for the tune, or all airflow calculations go out the window.
