i have a 1989 gt convertible the computer in there is a A9L so the guy i bought it from said it came of a 5 speed but because mine is auto i can't used my 02 sensors my can idles rough at start up and sometimes when i put in park my rpm's go up 1500 to 2000 i have to shut car off and restart i need to know how to find actual ecm is for my car had how do i tell if my car is federal or California emissions my hood is after market i have no stickers to go by and i everything i read online to find ecm says passenger door sticker but i have nothing except tire size and air pressure i download:am new to mustang world but try to rebuild to original as a summer daily driver thank you

Your A9L computer is for the T5 manual tranny and won't work on the AOD automatic
The A9P computer is for the AOD and WILL work for a 5 speed also.
