Cervini LED tail light conversion too dim to see in daylight.
I am new to this forum. I have a 2007 gt500 with less than 8500 miles on it. I was lucky to find it a year and a half ago with just over 6,000 miles on it.
The previous owner put the Cervini LED tail light conversion on at around 4,000 miles.
I try to drive it once or twice a week to work. The other day a coworker commented that it looked like I had a tail light out. I checked and both are working but are so dim you really have to look to see, with the flashers or brake light on it is just a bit better, but no where near as bright as the stock tail lights are that I have seen on other 2007 Mustangs.
I sent a email to Cervini to see if they had updated LED's or suggestions. They responded today that they were sorry, but they have no replacement LED's and since I am the second owner there is no warranty.
I can live with that, although I doubt I will ever buy anything from them.
My question is has anyone on this forum updated these with better LED's? I work with LED lights in the heavy duty vehicle industry and I have never seen any go as dim as these. I may try to incorporate some real LED's into the housing. If I pull that off I will share the results.
Thanks,
B

Welcome to the forum.
Try asking this in the Tech section if you don't get an answer here soon. There's a section specific for your year Mustang and there's always a lot more people in there.
Good luck
