Default 67 Mustang steering

My '67 now has a stroked 351W that seems to over power the factory pwr steering pump.. After a few hot runs the steering threw in the towel. I think I over reved the pump.
I replaced the pump back in the 289 days so have a low opinion of this 67 Ford technology.
I am looking for suggestions. I noticed an electric motor based kit
on the CJPony site. Does anyone have experience with that?
Any help here would be greatly apppreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on this, but I do know many 9-10 sec. cars running factory pumps. You could try asking in the Street/Strip section to see what they're running.

Good luck
