Default New, new, and new... and wish I had my new Mustang!

I'm a new grad, working a new job in Indiana, and new to this forum. Only problem is I'm NOT a new Mustang owner yet!

A Cleveland dealer promised me "8 weeks at most" on June 24th to build a 2017 Mustang for me. Since then, my ride died (power steering quit - basically totalled it for its age), I've moved to Indiana, I'm borrowing "the Mom Van", and I work tons of hours making a trip back to OH a pain.

Now that I (finally!) have a VIN & build date (8/28 - really? a Sunday?), is there any way to have my car delivered to my new location??

Thanks for any advice!!

Welcome to the forum.

I've never bought a new car, but I'd think Ford would be able to deliver it to the closest dealer for you. I'd be surprised if they didn't.

Talk to your salesman.

Dealers do trades all the time sending cars back and forth.

Congrat's on new Mustang.

Salesman has been impossible to get a hold of. I've waited days (even after calling to say I emailed) to get a reply to emails. I've called and the dealership supposedly had NOBODY to answer my questions. ("Would you like to leave a message?") I honestly think they've written me off as no need to talk to me until they have my car & I have to come get it from out of state.
I'll try again locally. When I tried (before I had the VIN) all they would do is search for an existing vehicle. They supposedly found one - twice! - but both times they couldn't actually GET the car. So I felt uselessly dragged around.
I was hoping someone knew 'the inside' and could tell me exactly how to change the delivery address without getting the run-around.
Thanks!!
