Hello everyone, looking for some help. I have a 2010 Roush 427R Mustang, garage kept, I go out and start her up every week then let her rest, only 25K all original. Last week went to start her up and the passive security system kicked on.Tried extra key, neither will start the vehicle(damn smart key). I contacted Roush and Ford and they say I need to tow it to the dealership to reprogram the keys. Really don't want her on a roll back. Has anyone had this problem before? Do I have any other options? Hoping for a miracle, this is my hail-mary pass. Thanks for all your help.

Since you don't drive it much could it just be a low car battery?

If it's not the battery you can call around for a mobile lock smith to come to your house. Some have the right device to reprogram your keys to your car.

Welcome to the forum.

You could try asking this in the Tech section, the one specific to your year Mustang. Usually alot more members in that section. Good luck

I can almost guarantee you it's a dead battery. Same thing happened to my 2012 with only 24k on it
