Default The Requisite 5.0 Check In....

Nice forum you all have. Im new to the Mustang and Mustang forums, but not necessarily new to the forum and enthusiast scene. I spent the last couple years building a one ton 97 Jeep Cherokee with coilovers and 40's.

Well, that only scratches the off road itch, and I needed to satisfy the speed one. So I recently picked up an 89 LX 5.0 with a T-5.
Best E.T on it was 13.70 with the BFG's smoking all over on a 100* day. Looking to pick up some stickies and go for 13 flat. Unfortunately, I'm stuck out in Songtan, Korea for the year and cant make it home to my addictions till later this year.

Glad to be amongst good knowledgeable company. Bear with me as I ask stupid questions with this new fangled "on road" thing.

Cheers,

Nolan

I'd gladly post a pic. Is there a specific, designated area just for that or am I alright posting one up here in the "check-in" thread?
I'll assume the latter and blame it on ignorance if I get flamed....

nice ride and welcome!

Thanks, but it isnt quite as pretty as that show worthy ride in your sig.

Stuff thats found its way into the five oh thus far:

Engine's from an 89 saleen w/ only 30k miles; Its got Trick Flow upper and lowers, ported and polished GT-40 heads with 1.90" stainless valves, Custom cam, 24 lb injectors, 1.7 crane/motorsport roller rockers. 77 mm mas air, 65mm throttle body, MSD 6al ignition, and MAC shortie headers into an offroad 2.5 inch h pipe with dumps behind the axle. The tremek 3550 upgrade t-5 is about two years old. There's a Fluidyne aluminum radiator with an elect fan, 100 amp alternator, and an Optima red top. Suspension wise, it runs coilovers all around (Lakewood 50/50s in the front and 90/10s in the back). Subframe connectors have been welded in and tied into the interior cage. The cage is only a 4 point and mostly useless at the moment, but will be tied into an a-pillar setup in the summer. The 8.8" has 4:10's with an Auburn L/S. And lastly it's on BFG 210-60-15s on 4" Weld draglights in the front and 275-60-15's on 10" Welds out back. Oh and you cant forget the nice poser 4" cowl fiberglass hood, lol.

Oh and the Stang in the garage... its just a decoy.
Its a cardboard box shaped like a mustang.
